We are looking for a Sustainability Specialistfor YILDIRIM Holding to be assigned at our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related fields (engineering, sciences, or sustainability/ESG-related disciplines)
Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability/ESG-related disciplines
Excellent command of both written and spoken English
Documented training in one or more sustainability/ESG standard(s)
Experience with an ESG reporting tool is a plus
Strong MS Office skills
Problem solving and analytical thinking skills
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders at all levels and across cultures
Good at adapting to change and finding creative solutions
Strong communication and presentation skills
Adherence to ethical principles
Highly motivated team player, decision maker, and initiative taker in planning and organizing various work assignments
Requirements:
Manage data collection, interpret data/observations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines. Advise the Group and individual entity management accordingly
Assess the ESG risks of activities and advise management on potential impacts, including risk reduction and impact mitigation measures
Design, produce, report, and monitor sustainability/ESG KPIs
Draft and prepare reports, presentations, and proposals as requested
Where ESG or related consultants are engaged to support the Group’s ESG activities, supervise the work of consultants to ensure contract terms are met; monitor work programs and schedules to ensure timely project completion
Ensure that the business operates under strict adherence to regulatory requirements and environmental conservation, including assessments of compliance
Provide specialist and technical input and review of others’ contributions to the design and development of ESG transformation deliverables, including support with internal and external sustainability and ESG standards
Ensure adequate data quality and audit trail
Work closely with a mix of local and global team members
Adhere to the Group’s compliance-related policies and procedures (such as anti-bribery and corruption, code of conduct, conflicts of interest, data protection, gifts and entertainment, safety and security)
Support the implementation of the Group and individual entity ESG policies and programs by providing timely and accurate analysis and reporting
Provide sustainability/ESG-related data analysis, overall project tracking, and reporting compliant with the requirements of grant funding agencies, investors and other financial entities, and one or multiple recognized standard(s) (for example, TCFD, GRI, or GRESB)
Establish and maintain a shared database/library of the Group’s policies/standards, data and practices, as well as sustainability/ESG topics and trends
Ensure that existing businesses and new entities apply the Group’s framework for ESG, including health, safety and environmental compliance, social aspects and economic/governance aspects
